Limited & Numbered Edition Of 150 Pieces Worldwide!
Homage To F. A. Lange Lange 1 Tourbillon.
Some characteristics of this watch:

The case material used is 18kt "HONEY" colored gold, exclusively developed for Lange & Sohne. The honey gold has a subtle warm hue to it & has a color somewhere between white gold & yellow gold. With a Vickers hardness of over 300, this gold is about twice as hard as other gold alloys, making it more scratch resistant.
60 Seconds Tourbillon: The Tourbillon was developed to offset the disruptive effects of gravity on the balance wheel. It consists of a cage containing the balance, the pallet lever and the escape wheel. The balance & escapement rotate around their common axis going through all positions once a minute to average out the errors & thus resulting in a more accurate & consistent timekeeping. The intricate Tourbillon carriage is composed of 84 parts.
Patented Stop Function: One of the few Tourbillon watches that has the ability to stop the escapement while the watch is wound. This allows for setting the watch to the second & to stop the escapement so that the owner can admire the Tourbillon. This is accomplished by a patented V shaped spring, when the crown is pulled out the spring (with curved out ends, so as not to scratch or get caught in the balance wheel components) gently come to rest on the screw balance within the Tourbillon cage - thus arresting its advancement. Once the crown is pushed back in, the balance begins oscillating again. This feature also help maintain the power reserve should you remove the watch from your wrist for an extended amount of time. To make the new stop-seconds mechanism visible, Lange watchmakers designed a perceptibly large Tourbillon aperture. It provides a clear view of the complex interaction of the tiny parts, even the date disc's are transparent so as not to obstruct the view.
There are only very few companies in the world that possess the technology and the know-how to produce balance springs, The Lange & Sohne factory in Glashutte is one of them. The production of top-quality balance springs is one of the most complex processes known in horology. It imposes extremely strict requirements on precision, both in the mechanical shaping operations and in the thermal treatment phases. One example: springs must be rolled to an accuracy of 100 nanometers. This corresponds roughly to one-hundredth of the diameter of a human hair.

This watch features:

Solid 18kt "HONEY" gold case. Bezel, lugs & corners all finished with a polished finish. Case edges, button tips & case back finished with a fine satin/brushed finish.
Solid flat silver dial with an offset hour & minute sub-dial finished with a fine sunburst guilloche texture in the center of the dial.
Applied honey gold Roman Numeral & diamond index hour markers, painted black minute track & seconds track.
18kt Honey Gold hands.
Small seconds sub-dial located between the 7 & 8 o'clock position of the dial.
Power Reserve indicator located to the right of the dial,
Tourbillon cage located at a the bottom right side of the dial.
Patented large double date window at the top right side of the dial with a quick-set corrector button on the case edge at the 10 o'clock position,
Lange & Sohne Caliber L961.2, beats at 21,600 vph, composed out of 381 parts of which 84 are for the Tourbillon cage, contains contains 49 ruby jewels & 2 diamond endstones jewels - total of 51 jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 72 hours.
Three-Quarter plate finished with bi-direction "solarisation" & a sunburst finish on the balance cock plate & with a wave pattern border on the 3/4 plate.
All components (even those buried deep inside the movement which are hidden from the eye) have been meticulously finished and have polished beveled edges.
Like the case the Tourbillon bridge and the intermediate-wheel cock are made of 18kt honey gold, both of which have been intricately hand decorated, a true feat considering the considerable hardness of the honey gold material.
