SERIAL # 1,038,603 - 1964Rolex 6238 - Chronograph "pre-Daytona", 18k gold case.This is an extremely rare 18k yellow gold Rolex Oyster Chronograph Ref. 6238, known to collectors as the "Pre-Daytona" which was produced from 1962 until 1967 in approximately 3,600 examples. The Ref. 6238 being a sports watch, very few examples were ever produced in 18k. The watch has a beautiful champagne dial, blue tachometer, yellow gold markers, and yellow gold pushers. The case is in mint condition and the watch has been serviced. It comes on a mint condition original Rolex 18Kt rivet bracelet. Circa 1960's. One of the nicest ones we have ever owned.
